Lancashire Aero Club was established in 1922, is the oldest active flying club in the UK and possibly the world. It was based at Barton Aerodrome from 1947 until early 2007 but has now left for another venue, although we are actively seeking an airfield of our own.

Committee meetings are held every second Monday. The next meeting is on October 20th starting at 1830 local. All members are welcome to attend as observers. The venue for the winter months is not yet decided as the Golf Club will be closed on Monday evenings until the Spring. Details will be posted here as soon as they are available.

Current committee concerns are to finalise a calendar of events for the coming year and progress the acquisition of an airfield to fly from.
