Lancashire Aero Club was established in 1922, is the oldest active flying club in the UK and possibly the world. It was based at Barton Aerodrome from 1947 until early 2007 but has now left for another venue, although we are actively seeking an airfield of our own.

Membership now open to a limited number of applicants

The Committee of Lancashire Aero Club has decided to open up the membership list to a limited number of applicants during the year 2009-2010. A joining fee of £200 will be payable but will include a subscription valid to June 30th 2010. After that the annual subscription will be the standard fee as determined by the Committee. All applications will be subject to approval by the Committee.

Prospective members can download an application form here which should then be sent to the Secretary at PO BOX 211, Manchester M24 1YL. Please do not enclose any payment until it is requested. Unfortunately at the moment we are unable to accept applications from persons under the age of eighteen years.
